Two of these photos were taken at the town beach and one is of the old Acton Library. It’s now someone’s home, but it was the library when I was a teenager here. I have fond memories of the place. I guess I’ve always loved libraries. I’ve added other photos taken during a visit in 2012 as well.
As I write this post, I’m on the east coast visiting with my mother this week and helping her out. Yesterday afternoon she went in for a hair appointment so I had some time to drive around Old Saybrook, where I grew up, and take some photos.
It’s bitter cold outside and there is snow on the ground so I didn’t take very many photos. With my slip on leather shoes, walking in the snow is not advisable, but I was able to get onto the beach at the town beach and take a couple of shots.
No gloves, either, so it only took about 5 minutes before my fingers were so cold it was time to get back into the car. I forget how cold cold can be living in Seattle.
